An Electronic Bird Scarer

Owning and using boats can be great fun, that is until the seagulls decide to poop all over it. Bird shit could be considered a structural material by anyone whose had to remove it.
I've tried flappy things which work for about 30 minutes, Gulls arent stupid, so I thought what about an electronic bird scarer that randomly emits the calls of birds of prew etc.
I searched to see if an Arduino based solution existed and it did, courtesy of Nick Allen and can be found here.
What follows is my version of that project complete with code and parts.
