December 2002
I'm often asked how I will get this boat off site when it's finished. Well
if the current level of rainfall continued it would float out ! Fortunately the
floor is 3" above ground level and so far so good, but only just.
With all the Christmas festivities it's not been too productive a month. I've
added extra studding at 2" centers, fitted a ring main of double sockets and
fitted 80% of the insulation. I chose
Rockwool
RWA45/75 (45kg/m3 & 75mm thick) flexible slabs.
They are very easy to work with and can be cut to size with a knife.
They are fitted between the studding to leave a 1" air gap to the external cladding.
This is followed by a vapour barrier membrane and a lining of 6mm ply.
