February 2011

The last day of January and I started sanding the hull again. It was easier than I thought, which must be due to the pigment acting like a filler. What soon became apparent was that some of the surface finish problems are probably caused by the original surface not being good enough. Basically on a hard surface epoxy is more prone to fisheye even without pigment. Great for wetting out fabric but as a coating it can be problematic
