September 2010
Finally got the cratch support varnished and back on the boat. And managed to finish painting the non-slip panels on the roof during the same visit. So that only leaves the front and rear deck areas which being under cover can be done rain or shine. Now I just need to find a free weekend to take her into town...
Well, I haven't had many free weekends as of late but last Saturday I did
manage to flat off the starboard side. If your wondering what the old curtains are
doing on the floor, it's to soak up the water and sanding debris.
I prefer to sand wet to keep the dust down and with the wet surface you get
an idea of the quality of the finish before you put the first gloss coat on.
If I manage to get home during the week at a sensible hour I'll try and
get the other side sanded so I can start coating. Otherwise it'll be that free weekend...
